2. Those Present: Pat Martin (Chair), Andy Henery and Catherine Doran (Community Youth Association), Jean Armour (St Peter and Paul's Church), Percy Mitchell (Lions Club), Cllr Graham Steele, Russell Bowie, Mike Pratt and Alan Cremer (Dartford Borough Council)
3. Notes from Last Meeting: Cllr Graham Steele pointed out that his apologies for absence from the last meeting had been omitted. With this amendment the Notes were approved.
4. Matters Arising from the Notes of the Last Meeting: Mike Pratt reported that all issues had been raised with Highways. The crossing is now in place in the High Street.
5. Swanscombe and Greenhithe Newsletter: The Christmas Issue appears to have been delivered only in the region of the High Street. It was proposed that the last issue be looked at to see if it can be renovated and re-published soon after Easter. As the Residents' Newsletter has just been delivered Cllr Graham Steele volunteered to try to organise delivery with Labour Party election material. It was agreed to try to finalise the next issue for delivery immediately after Easter. Please send any copy for inclusion to Alan Cremer by March 24th 1999.
6. Swan Valley Community School Tree-Planting Scheme: It was reported that arrangements for the scheme are now in place. Planting will take place on the afternoon of Tuesday March 30th. after the school's Achievement Assembly. Russell Bowie the Public Relations Manager Dartford Borough Council will handle the publicity. The following proposals were discussed:
7. Dog-Fouling: Catherine Doran raised the question of the intense fouling of the land on which they take small children to play. Mike Pratt stated that the land belongs to the Town Council and that prior to CYA planning any action/publicity they should liaise with Mrs. Savill.
